red arrow 2008 Spring & Fall Leaf Collection Schedule

 

Spring 2008 Leaf collection will begin in Area 4 the month of March 2008 and proceed to each area until completed, following the same schedule as below.

Fall 2008 Leaf Collection will begin the month of November 2008 in Area 4, and continue with Area 3, then Area 2, and Area 1.

***  Please note that each area takes a different amount of time to complete, and so it is impossible to predict exactly when collection will begin in your area. Once collection is underway, you may call Public Works at 861-5309 to determine when collection will take place in your area. Leaves will be collected ONE TIME only on each residential street. There will be NO return trips. Leaves must NOT be mixed with debris of any kind. NO twigs, stones, branches, trash, and NO bags will be picked up.

Area 1: From Johnson's Mill Pond north, including NW Dennis, Eldora & Belleplain.
(Your Trash Day is MONDAY)

Area 2: From Johnson's Mill Pond south, including all of Dennisville and part of South Dennis, including all roads branching off of Route 47. Route 83 to and including Dennis Creek Village. Dennisville Road from Route 83 to intersection of Hagen Road and Dennisville Road.
(Your Trash Day is TUESDAY)

Area 3: Remainder of Route 83, Route 9 south from intersection of Route 9 and Route 83, all of Kings Highway to Woodbine-Ocean View Road, Dennisville Road from intersection with Hagan Road to intersection with Main Street in South Seaville, Hagen Road, North & South Ravenwood Drive, and all roads branching off of these roads.
(Your Trash Day is WEDNESDAY)

Area 4: Route 9 north of intersection with Route 83, all roads east of Route 9, Corson's Tavern Road, Woodbine-Ocean View Road, Main Street in South Seaville, DeVaul's Lane, Tompkins Lane, Alexander Way, and all roads branching off of these roads.

All areas will receive once a month large item collection by appointment only.
  • AREA 1: First Friday of every month.
  • AREA 2: Second Friday of every month.
  • AREA 3: Third Friday of every month.
  • AREA 4: Fourth friday of every month.
blue square Items must be placed curbside by 6:30 a.m. on day of collection.
blue square Items should not be placed out more than 24 hours before scheduled pick up.
blue square No construction or landscaping materials, tires, or auto parts.
blue square Remove all refrigerator & freezer doors.


red arrow Dennis Township Brush Collection

blue square Brush collection will occur in March, April, May, September and October. No exceptions. Woodchips resulting from the recycling of brush will be available to Dennis Township residents without charge. Please call 861-5309 to make arrangements.

blue square Due to the enormous success and participation of this relatively new service, and in compliance with Township Ordinance, the total pile of brush for each residence must not exceed 4 feet in height, 4 feet in depth, and 8 feet in length. As a standard guideline, this size is approximately the same as the bed of a standard pick-up truck. When a pile exceeds 4' X 8' X 4' only that much of the pile will be collected.

blue square Brush must be placed curbside by 6:30 a.m. the day of collection.
blue square Brush must be clean, no nails, bolts, string, etc.
blue square Long branches to be placed in neat piles for chipping.
blue square Branches must not exceed 6 inches in diameter.
blue square Residents must dispose of brush resulting from lot clearing or tree removal.
blue square Builders are responsible for disposing of their own brush.
blue square Grass and leaves are not considered brush.
